John Hardy served with the Michigan State Police for over 25 years retiring with the rank of Detective Lieutenant. At the time of his retirement, he was the supervisor of State Police Detectives and Major Crimes for a 23 county area in northern Michigan. During his career he worked in narcotics enforcement for nine years and major crimes for 12 years. For the next 10 years after retirement from the Michigan State Police, he managed a private investigation office in Traverse City for a large investigative firm. He founded JHIS in November, 1999. JHIS is staffed and networked with experienced professional investigators and resources in Michigan and around the world.
